Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting now on Xbox Live

360 News | Finally.
After months of speculation and delays, the grand-daddy of all fighting games, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, is finally available for download on Xbox Live. The full version will set you back 800 points, and, as usual, a limited demo will be available, which will restrict players to the choice of Ryu or Guile in a single match. Both versions are just under 49MB in size.

Street Fighter II almost single-handedly kick-started the fighting game genre in the early 90s, both in the arcade and on the home console, and should be one of the most popular items on Xbox Live as a result. As well as having all the modes from the original game (and Dolby 5.1 support), there are also be several online modes available. Players will be able to have quick games against random opponents, or set up their own custom game to suit their skill level. Win/loss records will be kept, too, and there's even a spectator mode, where people can watch games happen then challenge the eventual winner.

Next week on August 9th, Pac-Man will in the Xbox Live Arcade for download.

God i suck at this, i can barely win on the lowest setting.

Also on the bottom of every 'buyable' download is the "Non-refundable" disclaimer, is there something that you can get a refund for?

It took me 47 fights to finish the arcade mode icon_redface.gif I really need to practice. I haven't had the chance to play it online yet.

tried online last night - had to keep retrying because my opponents kept rejecting me. had two matches where there was massive slow down the whole way.

has anyone had a good connection yet?

After downloading the demo last night I don't think i'll be getting the full game. I just don't see myself playing this like....EVER! I suppose it doesn't help that i've actually bought 2 compilations this year which already have the game (capcom classics and street fighter anniversary collection).

I know the 1 player game too well (my most played arcade game along with Killer Instinct) and the online component doesn't excite me because there is no super bar. Like I dunno....the whole thing is just very anti-climatic.

I dunno....anyone else get this feeling? Quite honestly I was looking foward to getting the game and having some challenges with some mates online....but yea....after downloading the demo it all just felt so familiar...it was weird....I almost felt ill.

From playing the demo it seems pretty good imo.
I always loved streetfighter but when it moved into alpha territory and over the top supers/parries etc I found it went waaaay over my head.
What I love about SF:HF is its simplicity.
Shame to hear about the network lag though.

I havent noticed any lag after 11 fights. Good fun online.

Finally finished 'Arcade', after 48 'battles' and half of them felt like a cheap victory. This was on the easiest setting btw, i feel so ashamed about my pitiful SF skillz... I've noticed the top guys on the leaderboards and minimum REP because they're early-leaving sons of b****s. I wish low rep guys neevr get matches get less games, especially the early-leavers... God i hate them..

Btw, my gamertag is 'Deus Sceleris', if that wasn't obvious >___>'

I got it the other day and got all single player achievements.

I want to play some aussies though because playing yanks online is lag to the max!

I'm on most nights, gamertag is "Fearthevoices"
