Half Life 2 coming to 360?
360 Rumour | Have American retailers let a head crab out of the bag?

Landmark PC shooter Half-Life 2 may be coming to Xbox 360 early next year, if online retailers' web pages are anything to go by. The websites of US video game retailers EB Games and Gamestop were recently updated with a not so mysterious listing for a 360 version of the game, apparently due out February 2007. Coming after a recent announcement by Valve, where they stated that they were going to work on titles for Microsoft's second system (they actually said "Whether developing a traditional FPS, RTS, RPG or delving into new genres, the Xbox 360 is a great platform for expanding Source and our game experiences,"), the listing seemed reasonable enough. But surely you announce a game before you send a schedule to retailers?
For their part, Valve spoke to IGN about the listing, saying "We've only announced development for 360. No specific titles to reveal just yet, but folks can expect to hear more before the end of this year". Certainly not a denial, but there is also the question of whether Valve would make their first 360 project a port of a two year old game that was also released on the original Xbox. On the other hand, the game's designers were apparently very unhappy with the Xbox port, so maybe they want to make things right with the 360 version?
We'll keep an eye out for more concrete info on the subject.
