E3 2006: Images of Gears of War

360 News | Epic game from Epic games.
Epic have released more screens of their Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War, and we've got them in the media panel, just for you! It's Epic's first 360 game, but possibly the best looking game by any company so far. You'll play as Marcus Fenix, a disgraced former veteran and war hero, who's once again called upon to save the human race from the 'Locust horde', and to achieve some personal redemption. Gears of War uses a third person perspective and Epic promises it "will be like controlling a blockbuster action movie".

“Gears of War” utilises the breathtaking new Unreal Engine 3 to create cinematic, high-definition visuals for a gaming experience that truly ushers in the next generation" said Epic in a statement. "Gamers will experience beautifully rendered interactive environments and characters so lifelike they appear to be made of flesh and bone. The next-generation visuals create a world in which the tiniest detail is vivid in the largest battle."

Gears of War is still due out this year on Xbox 360.
