E3 2006: Forza Motorsport 2 speeds into view

360 News | Along with the first images.
Microsoft announced only a few short hours ago that Forza Motorsport 2 was currently in development and they've followed this up with even more information this morning. The game is currently progressing well and is set for release around Christmas.

The game is set to contain an extremely detailed damage system, as well as even more authentic simulation physics. Graphically, the game will run at 60fps and will support the recently announced Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel.

The game will include more than 60 tracks in 18 different environments, such as Road America race track, Silverstone Circuit, Tsukuba Circuit and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and will also contain 300 vehicles and will allow you to customise them.

It's certainly putting Gran Turismo HD to shame. We'll have more information on Forza Motorsport 2 as soon as humanly possible.

Forza 1 is kick ass and I was only last nite wishing for a forza2 and 2day my wishes came true YaY...
This is gonna be unreal, I hope they can make the cars look like they have nice Deep Rims and Sleeek car contours and also Phat tracks and graphics texture.
Also hop they can get rid of a few sharp nasties PGR3 had in the graphics there.

KUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDOS AND THANKS FOR THE WICKED NEWS icon_biggrin.gif

Forza was so great already, and I really hope they keep the driving lines as they we,re great!!!

For example: Say your having sh!t bad luck playing PGR3 and you cant get your style down pat. Go hit Forza for a while and use the drive lines, go back to PGR3 and hey presto all of a sudden your lines are down pat for the day icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

If anyone agrees with this Id love to hear your views on what made Forza so brilliant where the Gran Turismo series puts you to sleep. lol.
Accessabllity, parts and 4cylinder cars did it for me personally icon_razz.gif

A real racer wouldn't need suggested lines for a lap, they would have their own lines. icon_razz.gif

A real driver wouldn't be put to sleep by Gran Turismo either. icon_razz.gif

Bollocks!!!!

A real driver would be willing to learn more technique constantly and not act Like they know everything already.

And Being a REAL Driver GT4 put me to sleep as it was boring as watching blowflies maggot a Dog Turd. GT3 i can give some credit to.
But your Damn Wrong NisBot.

I turned off the suggested line in Forza the first time I played it. I wanted the game to be its most sim-like, and a flashing line on the track didn't help! I'm slowly turning the other aids off to (yes I still play this game heaps), almost ready to lose the traction control :O
