E3 2006: Fable 2 announced

360 News | You going to be noble or corrupt?
It's hardly a revelation, but Lionhead Studios has officially announced that Fable 2 will be coming to the Xbox 360. Shown in trailer form at this morning's Microsoft pres conference, it's unknown whether the footage was pure CG or whether it was gameplay footage, but it was likely to be the former. And it was certainly pretty.

The original Fable fell short of expectations but was an original, enjoyable romp nonetheless. Fable 2 looks to expand on that by providing a different ending based on each choice and the idea of good and evil - with nobility and corruption. It's also looking like it will be favouring a more realistic graphical style, rather than the exaggerated characters from the original. Given that the original was developed for a very long time though, we're not expecting to see too much more in the near future.

As always, stay tuned for more coverage.

The first Fable showed promise, yet the good and bad theme wasn't right and needed to be fixed. But, when Fable: The Lost Chapters was released, the problems stayed. All in all, I'm staying corrupt about Fable until it's worth being noble.

Fully complete the game before realising this time around please...

Oh and Peter if you're going to say things like "If you bury a seed, the super game engine will eventually render it into a full grown tree" make sure it's in the damn game.

Still the teaser trailer looked very cool.... and promising..
