Pre E3 2006: The Club announced
360 News | Bizarre Creations working on a shooting game for Sega
SEGA is working with Bizarre Creations (of Project Gotham fame) to deliver a new type of fighting/shooting game called The Club. The Club will feature a 'Fight Club' inspired, erm, club - an underground fighting group where men are paid large sums of cash to take part in a fight to the death while watched (and gambled on) by Internet patrons. The game will be a third person shooter where you play as one of the 'contenders' who's just trying to survive.
Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, had this to say: "Bizarre Creations has a incredible track record and now they bring the innovation, both technical and creative, shown in the racing genre and have applied it to the shooter category" (a bit like Criterion did with Black?). "The Club simply delivers that visceral thrill of high-stakes gambling and tosses in a heavy dose of frenzied gunplay"
The Club is due out for Next Gen systems in 2007, and will be shown behind closed doors at E3.
