As the name suggests, the game centres around a two-man team. Army of Two "will throw gamers into hot spots ripped from current day headlines," says EA and will be forced to use two-man strategies and tactics with either an AI or live player. Apparently, EA have been wanting to make this game for a long time but until now, never felt that the hardware was sufficient to cater for the advanced AI. They really wanted to make sure that the game had a suitable co-operative AI partner.
"Army of Two is a first for EA in many ways. This is the first EA studio to be built entirely from the ground-up. This is EA's first original title for the next-gen systems," says EA Montreal general manager Alain Tascan, and "Army of Two is the first game to put players inside tactical warfare involving Private Military Corporations."
While there is no direct confirmation that there will be an E3 appearence, there is a good chance that we will find out more on Army of Two next week.
