Pre E3 2006: Too Human screenshots

360 News | Beauty comes in many forms.
Gearing-up to next week’s E3 expo, Silicon Knights has released a new batch of screenshots from their long-awaited Too Human title, currently scheduled for release on the Xbox 360.

Set as a three-part trilogy, Too Human tells the story of an ongoing war that threatens the existence of mankind, with an ancient machine presence forcing the God’s hand. The first of three follows the role of a Cybernetic God who has been charged with protecting the human race against a relentless onslaught of machines.

Too Human will be making an appearance at E3, which will hopefully unveil some more details on the Xbox 360’s show pony. Until then, be sure to check out the stunning new screenshots.

Very nice really looking forward to this game.

Huge fan of Eternal Darkness which was a stand out title on the Gamecube. With the Xbox 360 I'm sure Silicon Knights can really make this one of those very memorable gaming experiences.

I want this game bad. I am going to buy an XBOX360 purely for this 1 game (well, really for 3 games if the entire Too Human Trilogy is released).

My Favourite game this current generation was Eternal Darkness, ive played through it 6 times now, and if this is anything like it, it should be awesome.

Can somebody explain to me why this game is so hyped?

Been in production on and off for years, i think it began life as a late 64/early gc game.Made by the same mob who made eternal darkness.

I think it's mainly because of their work on Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, and to a smaller degree, Twin Snakes.

Personally, I think they've done nothing good outside of Eternal Darkness, but there's no deny that the lead-up to Too Human has been a long one, and at this stage, looks damn nice. Dennis Dyack mentioned that the original idea came from inspiration from the Norse mythology - which I thought was pretty cool - but in a futuristic themed World. So from what has been shown and known about the title is pretty impressive, in my opinion.

And as far as I remember, Dennis has had this idea for Too Human pretty much from the start of forming Silicon Knights and the game has traveled from the PlayStation to the Gamecube and now to the Xbox 360.

But don't game that have been in productions on and off for years end up being rubbish half baked titles? To me the graphics and style don't really look that flash.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong and this game is killer.

well its from the creators of Eternal Darkness, Twin Snakes and Blood Omen

Silicon Knights is rated very highly, originally having a partnership with Nintendo, but are now owned by Sega

It was originally an 8 Disc Playstation Game

It is an epic story which is now going to come out in a trilogy for 360

It has some elements from games such as Deus Ex, Syndicate, Starcraft Ghost ie: any Cyperpunk genre game. And naturally any video game fan is a Cyperpunk genre fan

Couldn't have said it better myself! icon_smile.gif

Anyone who is yet to see the official trailer, hunt it down and check it out. Glorious stuff.

They've gone way overboard on the HDR and bloom lighting. Hope it turns out to be a good game.

Definitely my most anticipated Xbox 360 title, or titles if you include the fact that it is a trilogy. icon_smile.gif

I expect this trilogy to run through Xbox 360, "xbox 720" and "Xenon 360". icon_razz.gif Just look at how long its taken them to get the first part out...

I'm also looking forward to it as it looks like a killer game. Too bad Nintendo/Wii missed out on this.

I won't deny those screens look pretty, but I'm not a fan of the style this game seems to have taken on. Futuristic Norse Mythology? Norse Mythology I'm ok with, it's the 'futuristic' part I have problem with. Imo, the style of the game is ****. But then again, these guys did make Eternal Darkness, so there's little chance that the game itself will be ****.

I keep asking myself why SK had to present the game like this. I should be really, really hyped for this game, yet I'm not anywhere near that level, solely due to the fact that I find the style and setting of the game so unappealing.

I'll just have to keep reminding myself that these were the guys that made Eternal Darkness.

Its the Futuristic part that interests me, i have a problem with the Norse Mythology part

I hate all these trilogy ideas

Oh man this game looks sooooo sweet! Outside of Resident Evil 5 this is my most anticipated game. Mainly because it's by Silicon Knights and i've been waiting for their next masterpiece since eternal darkness. The idea behind Too Human is exactly the type of stuff I wanna see. I love stuff based on mythology/lore as most of it will have monsters, ancient civilizations etc and to me these sort of setting create an ideal gameworld. I love seeing things like ruins and towering statues in the scenry.....it makes me feel small and insignificant so that when you do something big in the game (like take down a huge enemy etc) it has more of an impact. Also there is a bigger 'awe' factor because you are constantly seeing things that are strange or alien to you as well as daunting (that's where the big stuff comes in). I love how they've mixed old with the new, the characters, weapons etc are all futuristic type stuff and the gameworld, environment etc are old ruins etc. Perfect in my books....kinda like turok (1st one).

I was so pissed when Twin Snakes was announced. These screenshots have made me month icon_biggrin.gif

What was wrong with Twin Snakes? It gave many gamers the chance to finally experience the Metal Gear Solid franchise...
Oh, don't get me wrong, Metal Gear Solid was an awsome game. But is till think the original stands the test of time, it realy didn't need an update. Plus it stopped SK working on Too Human.

Which all wrked out, tbh, as it now gets the heardwear it deserves.

Exactly, so not only does Too Human gain the advantage of more power and whatever for this new generation, Nintendo gamers finally got the chance to experience the awesomeness that is Metal Gear Solid. Everybody wins. Well, everybody except Australians who got royally fu... with the game's release.
