New games added to 360 backwards compatibility list

360 News | Black makes its 360 debut, kind of.
After some months of waiting, Microsoft has finally updated the backwards compatibility list for the Xbox 360. It's a relatively small update that may leave a few gamers disappointed, but we're just pleased that the company is still working on improving the backwards compatibility of the new console.

Thus, Black, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 are now fully compatible with the Xbox 360, and there have been updates to games including Half-Life 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Ninja Gaiden Black, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Forza Motorsport and Fable: The Lost Chapters.

The full list of backwards compatible titles can be viewed here.

When you put an Xbox (non 360) game into the 360 it comes up with "Update Available, press A to download now" and it downloads it straight from Xbox Live. If you don't have Xbox Live you can download it from Xbox.com and throw it on a USB drive or burn it onto a CD and load it on that way.
