Halo fans may be pleased to learn that Marvel and Bungie have come to terms for a brand new Halo comic, or graphic novel if you are so inclined. The comic will be 128 pages long, and will feature a story seeing the Master Chief, shockingly enough, blast his way through hordes of Covenant soldiers and the ever-pesky Flood.
While the comic will take basic direction from Bungie's art department, a horde of artists will also have their say, too. Ed Lee, Moebius, Phil Hale, Tsutomo Nihei, Jay Faerber, Lee Hammock, Simon Bisley and Andrew Robinson are the names mentioned at this stage, with reportedly more to follow.
"The chance to give our faithful fans something this special was a chance we had to jump at," Bungie studio manager Harold Ryan said in the obligatory press release quote. "Re-exploring the Halo universe with some of our favorite comic book artists and writers - indeed, some of the greatest of all time - was a true labour of love."
The comic is set for a North American release in July, with 'other' projects to come afterward.
