The new project - full title Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis - is currently in development at the studios of Rockstar San Diego, and is set to be an Xbox 360 exclusive. The title has been in development for a year now, and is set to be released in the US this May. But why the sudden change of focus on Rockstar's part? Well, according to Rockstar's Executive Producer and President Sam Houser, the project came about "because we absolutely love table tennis and wanted to try and make something that could show the audience what could be possible - on a relatively focused level - in the next generation of videogames."
Fair enough we guess, and we have to confess we'll be keen to see how this turns out; certainly, we can't recall any other table tennis games from the annals of videogame history (though as always, reader contributions in the comments thread are welcome and no, Pong doesn't count).
