Xbox 360 games to be on shelves in Australia next week

360 News | Rather than the console unfortunately.
Microsoft have informed us today that Xbox 360 games will start to appear on Australian store shelves from next week. This includes Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo and Project Gotham Racing 3. It's hard to believe that the console is set to launch exactly a month from today.

From March 9th all of the Xbox 360 accessories will be available for purchase including the 20 gig hard-drive, universal media remote and the play and charge kit.

Xbox 360 demo units should be appearing in stores shortly. Keep checking back to PALGN as we'll have our definitive reviews on the launch titles in just a few weeks time.

That's pretty dumb, not much good without the console!

Hrmmm, wonders what would happen slotted a bad boy 360 game in the old Xbox...

Well, one positive is at least I'll be able to get my accessories sorted before I get the console. Need to get the wireless network adapter!!! And i'm scared my local EB won't get it in!

Yes what is the point? Well we all know Microsoft is pretty pathetic!

Subsidise the cost, so we don't lose over a grand in 1 hit...

Nope, that isn't really a good answer for me, still lose the money anyway.

If this were the rev., the fanboy inside me would sadly emerge and I'd probably buy the games straight away and just read the manual and stare at the DVD. sad i know icon_razz.gif

I might have done the same, don't be sad.. icon_biggrin.gif

^^ Haha, I did that with the PDZ disc I got with my VIP pack. The manual is actually pretty creepy. They're probably putting the games and such on the shelves so they don't clog up store's inventories.

Well it makes sense for those in Australia that have a European PAL 360, and even for those that have a US 360 (if any of the games are region free, that is).

while it seems silly initially to have games for a console that isn't out yet, it's not such a bad idea. like thebigm said, it does allow you to spread out the cost, so you don't have to shell out $1000 in a single hit.

it's effectively another form of Layby-ing.
