The first image reveals a nemesis of Superman called Metallo. Metallo has been able to absorbe enough metal to grow to over 60 stories tall. The Superman Returns game will be a free roaming game and whilst Superman may be invincible, the people of Metropolis are not.
There are over 80 square miles and 9,000 buildings in the game, so it seems like a lot of effort has been included to make the player feel like they have a lot of freedom. We’ll have more information on Superman Returns as soon as it becomes available, let’s hope it doesn’t turn out like Superman 64.
