Prey 360 screens

360 News | Native Americans in space for the win.
Big time publisher 2K Games has released the first batch of screenshots for the upcoming Xbox 360 version of Prey. The publisher also took the time today to announce that the console port of the game is being handled by Venom Games (Rocky Legends, whom 2K acquired back in 2004. Gamers may remember the name Prey from what it was under development at 3DRealms in the middle of the 90's, before being shelved indefinitely and reappearing out of nowhere for a rather spectacular showing at E3 2005.

Prey tells the story of Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic stuck in a rut on a reservation. His life changes dramatically when an otherworldly crisis forces him to awaken spiritual powers from his long-forgotten birthright. Abducted along with his people to a menacing mothership orbiting Earth, he sets out to save himself, his girlfriend and his planet.

Expect to see Prey mid year on the PC and Xbox 360.

Lets hope the storyline is a bit better than Doom 3. Can't be too hard of an achievement. icon_razz.gif

Actually this game is one of the reasons why I would like a Xbox 360.

For a "next-gen" game it looks ugly. PC version is the winnar.
