Battlefield: Modern Combat X360 images

360 News | Battlefield recieves the X360 treatment, how is it looking?
EA have released the first images of Battlefield: Modern Combat for the Xbox 360. Battlefield: Modern Combat was released for the XBox and Playstation 2 last year, and recieved a very respectable score of 7.0 from us.

The Xbox 360 version contains sixteen levels, new weapons and new vehicles. The game will also support up to 24 players online for the XBox 360. EA are claiming that the game will feature unprecedented graphics that should make the series look better than ever; but we'll wait until we play the game before making statements like this. Rather than just port the title over it really does seem like EA have put a lot of effort into enhancing the game for the XBox 360.

Battlefield: Modern Combat should be available in Q2, 2006 for the Xbox 360. We'll have more news on the game as soon as it becomes available.

In my opinion, shiny does not equal better. I seem to be leaning more towards artistic graphical merit as opposed to technical. Games that can look good without utilizing bumpmapping, specular highlights and all that other next gen touted stuff will impress much more than a game that relys on those things.

I'm a huge graphics whore, I love seeing stuff like this, but I hardly think it's worth commending, especially since your letting the engine do most of the work.

Soldier models look a little better than the PC version, but I'd play the PC version over BF:MC any day.

I agree. While the 360 version looks damn good, if the gameplay is as "pop corn" as the current console version then forget it. I'll stick to the more thought out PC version.
