The solution emerged from the forums over at US site GameSpot, where a chap known as Goldeneyemaster has suggested suspending the brick-like power supply unit off the ground and suspending it in the air with some string. 'I have been playing for about 3 hours straight', says Goldeneyemaster, 'and no crashes so far!' It does probably look a bit clumsy however, and (we'd imagine) involves a lot of faffing about during valuable PGR3-playing time, though apparently resting the power unit on the 'edges of a box with no cover' also does the trick. So there you go. And yes, it's a slow news day.
