X05: Alone in the Dark coming to the 360

360 News | Resident Evil has some competition. First images included.

Atari have officially announced that Alone in the Dark will be making it's way to the Xbox 360 next year. Included with this surprise unveiling were the first images of the game, we've included the high resolution images in the media panel.

The game is going to include a free roaming environment and with Resident Evil 5 making an appearance on the Xbox 360 soon, there is no shortage for those who like their survival horror.

This announcement caught us unaware, and is hopefuly the first of many surprise announcements at X05. We'll continue reporting the news through the week so keep checking back.

The Alone in the Dark series is definitely one of the best in it's genre, but I still find the Resident Evil series to be more enjoying. Should be fantastic to see RE5 and Alone in the Dark both on the Xbox 360 though. Man, I don't want to buy a 360 yet
