Project Gotham Racing 3 Images revealed

360 News | Microsoft deliver the latest images of the promising Xbox 360 title.
Microsoft have today provided us with the latest images of their upcoming Xbox 360 racing game Project Gotham Racing 3. The game has been involved in many rumours lately regarding whether it will actually be ready for the Xbox 360's launch, which is now less than two months away.

The Project Gotham Racing series first began as Metropolis Street Racer on the ill-fated Dreamcast. The first racer for the Xbox was Bizarre Creation's Project Gotham Racing which puts an emphasis on stylistic driving.

The game will feature eighty cars and races will take place all over the world, from New York, to London and Tokyo. The game will also feature a route editor and interactive crowds, which is another first for the series.

If you cannot get enough of Project Gotham Racing 3, then read our preview which can be found here. We've got the latest ten images in the media panel, and we'll have more news on the game as soon as it becomes available.

Yeah I agree it is Awesome, but it just doesn't "wow" me no more.
I think cause of the fact that I been spoil by a hole lot of good graphics & per-rendered crap this Gen.
That we (well, I know at least I do) just don't get "wow" as easily as it was a few years ago.

The environment is mad as, and the crowd also, but the cars need improvements IMO.

i agree, there's something not quite right about the cars, but i can't put my finger on what it is.

There's some very tasty movies of this doing the rounds at the moment, and they're seriously stunning. The lighting is the thing that stands out most - I've never seen such convincing lighting in any game, present or future.

'there's something not quite right about the cars'

I've actually read something similar in a hands-on preview at Eurogamer. They commented on how, whilst the game looked wonderful, the cars were almost too perfect. The expression they used to describe it was that the cars had been 'built, rather than created'. If that makes sense.

It makes sense to me and to be honest, I think it is a good thing for the game. After watching the video that contains footage of what it is like behind the wheel (literally), I honestly don't have a problem with how the cars look. Inside looked reasonably brilliant and the game isn't even completed yet so I am sure it was lacking a few details. I seriously cannot wait until the day that I finally run this game through its paces, something tells me that it is going to be a memorable moment indeed. I'm not just talking from a graphical side either.
