New Details on Project Gotham Racing 3 Revealed

360 News | The juice is out on this upcoming title.
New details have emerged on the Xbox 360's most anticipated racing title, Project Gotham Racing 3. What better way to develop hype for a racing game than to release info on the cars, right?

Apparently, Bizarre Creations, the team behind the Project Gotham Racing series we know and love has been doing some very in-depth research behind the cars. There will be 80 of them in game, with each car taking nearly six weeks to create. Not only will they be fast (the minimum max speed for a car being a mere 170 miles per hour), but the cars will also be insanely detailed (40,000 polygons for the car's interior!).

A new race creator mode is also in the works, which will allow you to take tracks from each of the game's 5 cities (New York, Tokyo, London all included!) that you race in and change them to suit your needs. While doing this or at any other point in the game, you will also be able to take a screenshot of the action from any angle. This feature will go great with the vastly improved damage modeling featured in game.

To top it all off, PGR3 will include 3D spectators, a licensed soundtrack, and multiplayer races for up to 12 players on Xbox Live. This is definitely one to keep your eye on.

5 cities?! They better have diverse tracks within... icon_neutral.gif

Nice information though, more detail on the cars has gotta be good. icon_biggrin.gif

Only 5 cities? And here I was hoping that not only would all the previous cities be included but more would be added due to the console being able to handle a lot more. I wanted more Australian cities too other than Sydney. Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra sounded good. (Canberra because I live there of course, and we won't ever see a track based in Canberra anymore because we don't have the V8 Supercar event anymore)

Oh well, I'm sure I'll get over it once I have the game and I'm playing it as I'm sure Bizarre will once again create something truly special. Here's hoping that they have another decent soundtrack for the game. The diversity and brilliance of PGR 2's soundtrack was amazingly excellent so I have high expectations for this. *begins praying for more details*

So excellent that I've had a playlist of about 3 songs repeating since I bought the game. icon_razz.gif

Show's how crappy your taste in music is. icon_razz.gif
I honestly think the PGR2 soundtrack is one of the best ones in a game. It's not like the one found in the NFSU games, which I think are a bit cliche. Plus the radio station idea is pretty cool.

Thanks Civ. icon_wink.gif

Seriously though GTPod, the soundtrack is brilliant. It spans over so many different genres and yet the song choice was still superb. The different radio stations are all nicely done and yeah it was just a brilliant choice of licensed music. When I think about it though, it really doesn't surprise me that you have bad taste once again... icon_razz.gif
