Meanwhile, Rare themselves have generously given us more information on the game's arsenal as well, confirming that the handgun, pulse rifle and sniper rifle will all be returning to the series, along with the infamous Laptop gun from the N64 Perfect Dark, a weapon that was the bane/highlight (depending whether it was being used by you or against you) of many multiplayer sessions on the N64 predecessor.
We've also been reliably informed that every weapon in the game (four can be held at once, by the way) will feature primary and secondary functions, just like the original game. Sneaking up on enemies and nicking their weapons right out of their hands is now also a possibility, as is the ability to turn their own weapons on them, Chronicles of Riddick-style.
There's two main multiplayer modes to choose from (which seems a bit cheap next to Halo 2's menagerie of multiplayer modes), entitled Deathmatch (up to 50 players can join at any one time over Xbox Live though PALGN presumes a LAN option will be included for up to 16) and Dark Ops, which sees players killing through various rounds of combat for money.
Oh, and before we go, we have the boxart for you:
