360 News | Slithering its way onto your calendar.
Following in the footsteps of the HD remakes of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and the Prince of Persia Trilogy, Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection is a hotly anticipated release for reptile enthusiasts everywhere. Now, via a media release directed to us from Konami, PALGN can reveal when Australia can expect to see it.

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection now has a release date of February 2, 2012, giving you a few months yet of enduring these classic titles in non-HD form.

In our effort to bring the best possible Metal Gear Solid experience to our loyal fans, we must unfortunately announce a slight delay for the release of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the European market.

Metal Gear HD Collection, featuring remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will be arriving on PS3 and Xbox360 in February 2012. Thank you for your patience as we strive to bring you your favorite Metal Gear titles in 1080P and 60 frames-per-second!

What does that mean? Best possible Metal Gear Solid experience, does that mean the US release gets some bugged, nerfed version?

"Oh I'm sorry, US you get it early but yours won't be the best possible experience."

Why can't they include a few specifics?

I'd say it has something to do with converting it to PAL.... but I don't understand how that can take two months or so?

It just doesn't make any **** sense.

Annoyed at the delay, thankful for being able to save money and having some leeway in regards to the games i can now play throughout the rest of the year!

I love the delay because it means I can easily get it day 1 without having to decide which awesome game to miss out on for a while.

Nov is already chocked with a buttload of games I've been wanting to play so the delay is welcomed by me. Still, for those who aren't like me, it's a shame.

But you could just buy it at a later date, and have time to look for a bargain/wait for a price drop!

Ps3 is region free, just buy it from amazon or play-asia icon_razz.gif

Not entirely a bad thing. I think it would have been lost among the November pre-Christmas onslaught of titles.

what i can gather is the US miss out on MG 1 and 2 ( MSX)

Woah grave digging it a little here.

Though that being said, a quick answer to a delay in PAL is because of localisation. Keep in mind that PAL covers all of Europe too, which means it needs to be localised for all available languages there. That's probably what keeps it delayed.

I for one am glad that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is coming to Xbox 360. Now Xbox owners will get to have that great experience that i had when playing the Metal Gear Solid games.

Let us unite gamers everywhere!
