Modern Warfare 3 'Hardened Edition' contents leaked

360 News | Time to upgrade those pre-orders.
Hey kids! Were you hoping that Modern Warfare 3 would be bundled with a remote controlled piece of junk that lights up and is completely useless? Sorry to burst that particular bubble, you might be out of luck...

Wired uncovered what appears to be the 'Hardened Edition' of Modern Warfare 3, with the slogan "Definitive Experience For The Call of Duty Fan". There's a chance that this might be the only special edition for 2011's biggest blockbuster. Of course Activision could still announce a 'Veteran' package, but until confirmation arrives, we wait patiently.

The poster above is for Europe, but seeing as every previous edition has been identical regardless of what territory you're in, it's safe to say the same version will be available in Australia. Here's what you'll find in the Hardened Edition:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game with unique disc art
  • One year of membership in Call of Duty Elite
  • 'Founder status' on Elite with exclusive in-game emblem, player card, camouflage, clan XP boost and other exclusive benefits
  • SteelBook case
  • PlayStation Network exclusive: 'Animated Timeline Theme'
  • Xbox 360 exclusive: 'Special Ops Juggernaut Xbox Live Outfit'
  • Limited-edition 'field journal' with more than 100 pages of 'authentic military sketches, diagrams and written entries'

Modern Warfare 3 will launch on 8 November for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
