Despite only just coming off a horror road trip in Shadows of the Damned, which we quite liked, the good folk over at Grasshopper Manufacture have revealed their next major game, and it's sounding as ludicrious as ever.
Revealed by Andriasang, who have obtained the information from the latest issue of Famitsu, Grasshopper Manufacture's next title will be called Lollipop Chainsaw. The game stars a young high school girl named Juliet (who no doubt puts the lolli in lollipop), who's family bloodline is composed of famous zombie hunters. Taking cues from the latter point, Juliet one day finds her school, San Romero High School, invaded by zombies and decides to take them down with a chainsaw.
Not only a zombie hunter, Juliet is also a cheerleader. Dressed in her cheerleading outfit, Juliet will combine acrobatic cheerleading moves with her combat, killing zombies with style. Style and pop culture appears integral to the experience, as Goichi 'Suda51' Suda promises Lollipop Chainsaw will feature a never before seen 'pop' style of zombie gameplay.
Built for the Xbox 360 and PlaySation 3, and to be published by Kadokawa Games in Japan, the game is currently without an official release date.
