E3 2011: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary announced

At its E3 press conference, Microsoft officially announced the HD remake of Xbox classic Halo: Combat Evolved. Titled Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the game will be released on November 15 on Xbox 360. The shooter will feature a remastered version of what Microsoft touts as the “campaign of the century”.
The game is being made jointly by Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity. Six multiplayer maps from Halo: Combat Evolved, in addition to the Damnation map from Halo 2, will feature in multiplayer, which has been updated for Xbox LIVE. Online co-op and Firefight are also said to be part of the package.
In addition to announcing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary at its conference, Microsoft also unveiled Halo 4.
