Yamaoka features in Shadows of the Damned pre-order
360 News | This is going to be one hell of a party!

What do Suda 51, Shinji Mikami and Akira Yamaoka have in common? They're all involved in creating what could possibly be the most amazing horror action ever made, Shadows of the Damned. Suda is the director, Mikami is the creative lead and Yamaoka, the critically acclaimed composer of Silent Hill fame, is taking care of the soundtrack.
With the release just over a month away, those who pre-order Shadows of the Damned from any of GAME, JB Hi Fi, EB Games and the EA Store will have a chance to listen to, what will be without a doubt, the epic soundtrack. Early order makers will receive a bonus digital download to twelve original songs, "hand-crafted" by Yamaoka himself.
The 12 tracks include:- Theme of Shadows of the Damned (featuring the English gothic punk band, The Damned)
- Shedding Stars
- Walk if Off
- Last Stop, Windows Up
- This Way Comes
- Fathomer
- Smile for a Broken Dawn
- Showdown at High Moon
- Cold Turkey
- Broken Bones, Broken Promises
- Dropped Off Between Stops
- Clawing at the Veil
From this development dream team, who are working out of Grasshopper Manufacture, Shadows of the Damned follows a demon hunter named Garcia Hotspur deep into a hyper-demented re-imagining of hell, where he must rescue Paula, the love of his life, by defeating the armies of darkness with the power of the light. The game promises unique gameplay experiences that include over-the-top action, massive boss battles, demented puzzles and apparently, a lot of psychotic imagery.
Believe it or not, we'll have more on Shadows of the Damned very shortly.
