Xbox Live Update - 19/04/2011

360 News | Please let us be right!
Our fingers are crossed in the hope that no mistakes will be made and no games will be missed this week. It can't be too difficult, surely? Actually yes it can, but now Major Nelson seems to have gotten himself organised, so here we go.

Deals of the Week:

As our friends in the northern hemisphere begin to enjoy Spring, the long days here in Australia are beginning to fade away. Our theme is 'Spring Fling', which makes no sense down here, but when has Winter ever stopped us from playing games? The bulk of the bargains can be found below, but there's also a few Avatar items if enjoy playing dress-up with fake reincarnations of yourself. Unfortunately, the prices haven't been updated yet which can mean two things: a) Microsoft is slow, or b) Australia is getting a different deal. We'll find out soon, but let's continue under the assumption that Microsoft recognises us.

  • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved Toned Body - 160 MSP (AU$3), a saving of 50%

New Releases:

Section 8: Prejudice will be available to download tomorrow night for 1200 MSP (AU$20). In case there was any confusion about it, Prejudice is a full sequel to 2009's Section 8 and it's only being distributed via download, i.e. Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. Prejudice is said to be a bigger game than its predecessor, so if you're a fan of jet-packs, check out this one.

The Fancy Pants Adventures will also be available tomorrow, but will only cost 800 MSP (AU$13). It's looking like a colourful N+ with more variety. Described as being "the definitive action-adventure platformer", Fancy Pants supports multiplayer locally and through Xbox Live. This download also includes upgraded versions of The Fancy Pants Adventures: World 1 and World 2, whatever that means.

I don't see anything good this week icon_sad.gif.

When are some decent games going to be coming to XBLA and why do we have to wait 1 day before they come out to see what games are coming .

WHy can't we have a release schedule for ARCADE games like we do retail games ?
