Mass Effect 2 ‘Arrival’ DLC dated

360 News | Arriving very, very soon.
Mass Effect fans and cynical gamers everywhere can rejoice, as the very last downloadable content for BioWare’s award winning sci-fi RPG Mass Effect 2 finally has a release date. Outed a number of weeks ago under the title of Arrival, the official Mass Effect website reveals that the DLC will be available from March 29, 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

In Arrival, Commander Shepard is sent to the edge of the galaxy to discover the truth about the arrival of the Reapers. There, he must rescue an undercover agent with information about the imminent Reaper invasion. Admiral Hackett, a character familiar to many Mass Effect fans, will play an important role in Arrival and be voiced by legendary science fiction actor Lance Henriksen of Alien and Terminator fame.

"All year, we have been extremely honored and humbled by the reception we have received for Mass Effect 2 from players around the world, including our post release DLC", said Casey Hudson, Mass Effect's Project Director and Executive Producer. "Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to Mass Effect 2 and will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest."

Mass Effect 2: Arrival will include three new achievements and trophies, and cost 560 MS Points on Xbox 360 and 560 BioWare Points on PC. Local pricing is yet to be confirmed on PS3. In the meantime, check out the media panel below for three brand new mouth-watering screenshots from Arrival.

I thought you couldn't get to the edge of the galaxy because it was Gith space? Or something? Maybe I'm just mixing up my sci-fi universes...

Perseus Veil is Geth Space, and that's on one edge of the galaxy. They dont surround the whole thing.

Does a low cost suggest it's going to be a lesser adventure? I have it's the same lenght/quality of content as Shadow Broker.

Also you have a geth squad member that could probbably act as a decent diplomat between the races in ME2.

Lance Henriksen kicks ass too.
