Trio of DLC packs for NFS: Hot Pursuit incoming

360 News | Gas up for another go around.
Electronic Arts have revealed that there is more content on the way for Criterion's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit with a trio of downloadable content packs which will add new modes and cars to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of the racing title when they arrive in the coming weeks.

The first pack titled 'Armed and Dangerous,' will feature two new modes to add to Criterion's racer. 'Most Wanted' mode is described as an "open world battle," with cops attempting to bust one specific criminal while the others attempt to defend their criminal brethren. While 'Arms Race' mode is a race where every racer is decked out with the full arsenal of weaponry. Armed and Dangerous will arrive on 22 February and it will set you back approximately AU $7 (or 560 Microsoft Points).

The other two DLC packs will both bring new cars, events and achievements to the game. 'Lamborghini Untamed' will add three new Lamborghinis, while the 'Porsche Unleashed' pack will add three new Porsche vehicles to the game. They'll be out on 1 March and 8 March respectively and will carry the same price tag as the Armed and Dangerous DLC.

The new race modes sound pretty cool, but the car packs are pretty meh.

If they're like the first DLC pack, there won't be much content. Also, the car packs are boring. That being said, I'd like an excuse to get back into this game...

Brought armed and dangerous - its multiplayer only and its hard to find more then a couple of players at a time which kind of detroys their team based intentions. NFS DLC needs to raise the racing level and add more single player for any more of my money (so 2 cars and 5 events ain't enough)
