Halo: Reach Defiant map pack announced

360 News | Rebel without a cause.
The world of Halo is about to get a little bit bigger, as long as you're willing to splash some cash around and jump online. Announced over at Major Nelson comes the second map pack for Halo: Reach. Titled Defiant, this map pack will, just like the map pack before it, contain three brand new maps of varying style and design.

Set among the stars, 'Condemned' is a six to twelve player map that takes place abord Orbital Station Gamma, a space station orbiting the planet Reach, and will support Team Slayer, Team Objective, and Free For All game modes.

Back on the surface, the larger map 'Highlands' has players running around a wooded wilderness on Reach, of which doubles as a top secret military training ground. Highlanders will support eight to sixteen players, across the game modes Big Team Battle, Team Slayer, and Team Objective.

Lastly, 'Unearthed' takes a break from the two directly competitive maps in the map and focuses on the Firefight and Generator Defense modes, allowing up to four players to to battle out against waves of Covenant around the surface of a valuable Titanium mine.

The Halo: Reach Defiant map pack will be available sometime in March, and just like the previous pack be priced at 800 Microsoft points. While you wait, check out each of the pack's maps in the debut trailer below.

I'm interested, though I have yet to see the maps from the first pack pop up more than once or twice.

Very true.. hardly seem worth the money when you almost never get to play them.
