Halo: Reach Noble map pack announced

360 News | Reaching out to your wallet.
The strong multiplayer offerings of the Halo: Reach game are about to get even stronger, with Bungie revealing the title's first DLC pack, titled the Nobel Map Pack.

Contained within the pack will be three brand new multiplayer maps supporting a variety of modes. 'Anchor 9' is a smaller map set aboard a UNSC craft, supporting two to eight players in Free For All, Team Slayer, and Team Objective. 'Tempest' is a larger, open map with support for eight to sixteen players across the same game modes as 'Anchor 9' and Big Team Battle, as well as extensions to the Forge palette. Lastly, 'Breakpoint' is another large open map for eight to sixteen players, supporting both Invasion and Big Team Battle game modes.

In addition to these three maps will be all new Achievements, totalling an extra 250 Gamerscore points.

The Nobel Map Pack is currently slated for a rather early release of November 30, and will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points.

This is why I will buy Black Ops instead. Reach will soon reach a point where the only ranked game will be FFA just like Halo 3 unless you buy every map pack. At least with Black ops you can play all modes without buying all the map packs.

Too bad my Gold has run out and I don't really want to have to pay for something I get for free for every other game I play :\

Actually, the Halo 3 map packs all became free after a while. You just paid for early access.

Ohh, I was talking about online multiplayer, not the map packs icon_razz.gif. I would gladly pay for map packs, just not multiplayer.

These really should have been in the game from the start. Not enough maps in this game, and pretty lazy of bungie to lump us with (ugly) forge variant maps to make up for the lack of polished original maps.
