Gears of War 2 DLC going cheap

360 News | Another massive bargain for Xbox Live.
It appears that a new bargain slipped past everyone, including Major Nelson, and didn't make it into our Xbox Live Update. The entire set of multiplayer DLC for Gears of War 2 will also be available at a discounted price for the next seven days. This comes directly from the Gears of War 3 twitter feed.

Every single multiplayer map and the brief co-operative campaign are bundled together in the 'All Fronts Collection'. For a period of time it was priced at 1600 Microsoft Points before being dropped to 800 MSP, and for this week only you can download it at the cheapest price yet. Now it will only set you back a measly 400 MSP (AU$6.50), which is pretty good value considering the amount of content in there. After recently delaying the third installment of the series, this could be viewed as a small bit of compensation. The post didn't specify whether or not you need to be an Xbox Live Gold member to be eligible for this reduced price, so there's a good chance that this bargain is available to everyone.

The Gears of War 2 multiplayer universe has been revamped numerous times and if you haven't already expanded the experience, this is your chance. As for Gears of War 3, hopefully we'll see it sooner rather than later.

I was about to get on and post this but I think MS has made a boo boo as it is currently listed at 400 points (which I was quick to grab before it is changed!)

Never really got into Gears of War multiplayer, to be honest. Felt like I was stepping into something way out of my league.

It would be a great deal if it wasn't for the fact that GOW2 online matchmaking is incredibly bad - making the game virtually unplayable in Oz. I wish some of the press from the Southern Hemisphere would note this general issue a bit more (PALGN is guilty of glossing over region specific network issues too.)

Oops, I read it as reduced to 800 from 1600 for some reason....
