For a period of time it was priced at 1600 Microsoft Points before being dropped to 800 MSP, and for this week only you can download it at the cheapest price yet. Now it will only set you back a measly 400 MSP (AU$6.50), which is pretty good value considering the amount of content in there. After recently delaying the third installment of the series, this could be viewed as a small bit of compensation. The post didn't specify whether or not you need to be an Xbox Live Gold member to be eligible for this reduced price, so there's a good chance that this bargain is available to everyone.
The Gears of War 2 multiplayer universe has been revamped numerous times and if you haven't already expanded the experience, this is your chance. As for Gears of War 3, hopefully we'll see it sooner rather than later.
