Dead Rising 2: Case West announced

360 News | FRAAAANK!
Capcom's Tokyo Game Show event has started with a bang, announcing a new Dead Rising based title called Dead Rising 2: Case West.

Case West's announcement comes from the immense success of Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, of which sold nearly 500,000 copies during its first two weeks of sale. Where Case Zero was a prologue, Case West will take place after the events of Dead Rising 2, and see protagonist Chuck Greene team up with original Dead Rising protagonist Frank West for zombie slaughtering goodness. Just like Case Zero, Case West will be a downloadable title, exclusively for the Xbox 360.

More as it breaks.

I doubt Case West or Case Zero count as DLC material and likely wouldn't be included in a Gold Edition.
With that said Case Zero is more like Fables Pub Games for Dead Rising. I enjoyed it though; and would like to see what happens in Case West.

What he's saying is that these aren't DLC for Dead Rising 2, they're stand alone. So it's unlikely they'll be included in a "Gold Edition" of DR2.

It's not impossible mind you, but I'd say it ain't going to happen.

I'l be happy if they put a price tag of 400msp on it again.

Certainly an unusual move, but I'm not complaining.

If it's 400, I'll be all over it.

With Case Zero and Case West, is there a need to buy Dead Rising 2?

With Dead Rising 1, is there a need to buy Case Zero, Case West, or Dead Rising 2?

If all you want to do is mindlessly kill zombies, then probably not. Some people may like to follow the storyline, however.

I guess some people may jump for joy on this news, but I feel short changed.

Not an unusual move considering the success of Case Zero, as long as Capcom can "Activision" or "EA" more money out of people they'll do it

Boooo.... They're really not doing much to court the PS3 users now are they?

Edit: PC users too - forgot it was actually coming to PC

isnt dead rising a 360 exclusive though? Or is 2 multi platform?

Dead Rising 1 was 360 exclusive, Dead Rising 2 is 360/PS3/PC.
