Cyrax and Kitana set to feature in new Mortal Kombat

360 News | Robot + Ninja = Win.
The latest Mortal Kombat game won't be hitting shop shelves until next year, but a press release has today announced the return of two characters. Taking the appropriately unusual names of 'Cyrax' and 'Kitana', these combatants are set to join what will surely be a stellar roster.

Fans of the classic series will know what to expect; Cyrax is a robot ninja capable of kicking various forms of buttocks, while Kitana will be getting up to all sorts of trouble with her evil clone, Mileena. The press release also announced two new locations for you to perform fatalities in; 'The Desert' and 'The Bell Tower'. Screenshots of these new additions are available for your viewing pleasure in the media panel below. So far it's looking as though our beloved fighter is returning to the gory roots that made it so good in the first place.

Mortal Kombat will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011.

My word, where's Cyrax's face? It looks like it got completely broken off. Kitana looks all sorts of sexy in her stripperiffic outfit though I still think Mileena's outfit is hotter.

Yay Kitana!

As for Cyrax... I always preferred Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
