PES 2011 kicks off on 7 October

360 News | The season begins.
Once adored as the premier football simulation on the market, Pro Evolution Soccer has been struggling with injury over the past few seasons. A press release has confirmed that Konami's next attempt to reclaim the glory days gone by, PES 2011, will be available to Australian gamers on 7 October 2010.

The press release goes on to describe the new improvements that have been made after consulting the series fans. Without boring you with the technical jargon that spreads across almost every annual sports game, it goes without saying that PES 2011 will be filled with improvements in every area of the pitch. Animations and actual gameplay are receiving a major overhaul, but more importantly, huge advances have been made with both the Master League Online and Become A Legend modes. Unfortunately, there's still the problem of officially licensed club teams, although Bayern Munich will be a welcome addition for those who enjoy playing through the UEFA Champions League.

PES 2011 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on 7 October. The remaining versions for PlayStation Portable, Wii and PlayStation 2 will be available later in the same month.

If they are able to reproduce the be a pro mode from fifa and not have the awful ping pong play of fifa 10, they may be able to bring this back into contention.....if EA makes the goalies in fifa 11 worse than the ones in fifa 10, then i will be checking this out, as fifa continues to slide further into fixing things that weren't broken from fifa 09.

Hopefully the Pro Evo devs have been reading the complaints on EA's forum and make sure they don't implement any of the stupid things included/forgotten in Fifa 10. I think they might make a return to form with this one. Time will tell.
