No more Street Fighter IV expansions

360 News | Capcom believes that too much is a bad thing.
Play.tm reports we won’t be seeing anymore Street Fighter IV games. Street Fighter IV producer, Yoshinori Ono, has stated that he is done with the Street Fighter IV franchise and had this to say to Japanese video game publication, Famitsu.

"For me, the series ends with Super SFIV. We want both SFIVs to be played for a long time, so we'll listen to feedback after the arcade version is released to determine if players want the home version updated."

There you have it folks, you can purchase and enjoy Super Street Fighter IV knowing that Capcom won’t surprise you with a new sequel/expansion.

I think there will be a DLC bundle with new character/backgrounds/costumes for sure.

There is no way SSFIV is finished.

DLC is more than likely but I take the article means that there wont be a Super Street Fighter IV Hyper Fighting Turbo Tournament Edition anytime soon.

Nice thinking Yoshinori. We all know too much of a good thing will make you blind.

So if the arcade version has extra content or balance changes, why wouldn't anyone want their home version updated?

To me this just reads like: nothing new until we change our minds!

There's only one Street Fighter sequel I really want, and it ends in another four. Street Fighter Alpha 4.

Or even just a straight up port with online added. That goes for SF3:3S, too.
