Europe gets a Vanquish date

360 News | Pleasantly close.
Yesterday, it was reported by Xbox 360 Achievements that Vanquish, the latest title from famed developer Shinji Mikami, will be released in Japan on 21 October 2010. However, given the history of gaps between the Japanese and Western releases from developer Platinum Games, players probably were weary over whether Vanquish would make it to our shores this year.

Fear not, as Xbox 360 Achievements are back with the European release date. So, just how big a gap is there this time? All of one day. That's right, Vanquish will be released in Europe on 22 October 2010. Given that Australian releases tend to mirror European releases, we're confident that we too will be playing Vanquish in October.

Set for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Vanquish is a fast paced third person action shooter from the developers of MadWorld and Bayonetta. We saw Vanquish at E3, and suffice to say, 'fast paced' just doesn't quite cover what this game is about...

Nice, this game certainly has a level of potential, even if may look like a glorified version of Gears of War.

Yep. I'm quietly keeping my eye on this one.
From what I've seen so far it looks promising.

Shinji Mikami has a near perfect track record of game directing, as well as producing, so I'm pretty confident Vanquish is going to be **** amazing.
