The game will allow players to take the role of protagonists from various Castlevania games, including Alucard from Symphony of the Night, Shanoa from Order of Ecclesia and Soma from Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow.
Harmony of Despair will follow the suit of more recent games, featuring the 'Metroidvania' side-scrolling approach to gameplay. The game will also include a multiplayer mode, allowing up to six friends to play on the same map.
Other games in the Summer of Arcade line have been confirmed to include a new Tomb Raider game, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Limbo and Monday Night Combat. The games will be released starting in July, with one game released per week for five weeks.
