The Force Unleashed II collector's edition

360 News | Buy this one, you must.
According to Kotaku, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is going to be receiving the collector's edition treatment. The source originated from a listing on GameStop's website, which details the goodies included for Starkiller's next adventure.

While this is a U.S. listing, there's a good chance that Australia will be seeing a very similar package. Here's what you can expect;

  • Premium Collectible Steelbook
  • Exclusive In-Game Content (Extra maps along with an exclusive skin and lightsaber)
  • Exclusive USB (Unique Starkiller design preloaded with a digital art book)

Star Wars fans can look forward to the games release across all major platforms at the end of October.

The game comes on two discs?

I don't really understand why anyone would want a 'digital artbook' either. JPGs are not as pretty to look at as a nice, if small format, book.

I remember when collectors eds were reserved for truly special or groundbreaking titles, now it just seems like any game with a 2 after it gets the treatment.

I fixed that for you. And yes, the special editions are a dime a dozen now... almost literally a few months after release in some cases. I know I've picked up The Witcher, Tomb Raider Underworld, Dante's Inferno and a few other special editions at basement bargain prices.

Digital artbooks are pretty much the worst thing ever. I mean, if they came at huge, wallpaper ready resolutions they'd be alright, but the one I got for Mass Effect 2 through Steam is 770 x 536. I mean, come on, what could I possibly do with that?

And surely there was a better way of hiding the USB plug than giving him a giant conehead. Surely.

Haha, I thought the same. It would have made more sense to stick it between his legs.
