The press release goes on to explain just how successful the Reach beta has been. Either the game is a stroke of genius, or else the fanboys just can't get enough of the series; "Players completed more than 13 million online games and logged over 16 million hours of online game play, amounting to over 1,826 years of total play time in just over a two-week period". Scary, right?
Reach is being designed with the typical Halo campaign in mind; the humans vs. the Covenant. There's certainly no originality in that respect, although one major improvement has been made. The Halo 3 engine is looking rather dated to say the least, but now we can expect to see 'stunning new visuals powered by groundbreaking new technology'. Thank god for that because let's face it, Halo ODST left a lot to be desired.
With a release date confirmed, it's time to get those pre-orders in. If past games are anything to go by (34 million sales), this one is going to be flying out of shop windows.
