Deniable Ops DLC for Splinter Cell: Conviction

360 News | Not as free as you might think.
A recent post from Xbox360achievements.org has stated that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be receiving premium downloadable content before the end of the month.

Ubisoft had previously announced that weekly DLC would be released free of charge, but this isn't the case with the 'Deniable Ops Insurgency Pack'. Xbox 360 owners will have to fork out 800 Microsoft points (AU$13) in order to obtain the extra 250 gamerscore on offer. Pricing (if any) for the PC version has yet to be made known.

If you've finished the original co-op campaign, then you'll understand why this DLC doesn't continue with a new story. Instead, it simply adds four new maps for the gamemodes: Hunter, Last Stand, Infiltration and Face Off. The new locations include a dock, a cemetry, a prison and a secret facility in Salt Lake City.

Archer and Kestrel need to be prepared when this DLC launches on 27 May.

By weekly DLC I think that they may be talking about the weapons that keep appearing in the "exclusive content" section. If you don't know what I'm thinking of it's the FAMAS, proximity mine and the echelon outfit for co-op.

They could have made it free by scrapping the gamerscore. We're only getting a few new maps, nothing special.
