Fable III coming to Windows?

360 Rumour | Will Fable III be coming to a Windows near you?

The US box art for Fable III has been officially revealed, and an interesting snippet has been gleaned from it. On top of the box, where it usually states 'Only on Xbox 360' for exclusive titles, instead it states 'Only on Xbox 360 and Windows'. Implying a Windows release of the title is in the works as well.

Whilst the original Fable came to both the Xbox and Windows, Fable II left Windows gamers in the lurch. This led to the assumption that Fable III would be an Xbox 360 only affair.

Does this mean that an unannounced port of Fable III will be coming to Windows or has someone at Lionhead made a mistake? Feel free to discuss your opinions in the comments section below.

dislike the box art.. the crown needed to be an evil looking crown in the reflection or something at least

Lets hope so, I would love to play this on my PC (as I did with Fable 1)! Comeon MS, more support for PC gaming!

I think they need to do like what Steam is doing, where you only buy the game once and you can use it on whatever platform you feel like (eg, PC or MAC, but in this case PC or 360). That would really give the Games for Windows/X360 an advantage.

@ Shadow Wave - I think it is meant to be an evil looking crown in the reflection, it's all pointy and dark compared to the top one. But it's not really evil looking enough.

Maybe even transfer file saves between the two systems. That would be absolutely gold.

I don't mind the boxart, although it doesn't seem to be consecutive with the other two games' boxarts where there is a "good" character reflected by an "evil" character.

Edit: Ah, it is too, Axiryth. Nice eye!

Caught the following over at VE3d.com this morning, validate the rumours that the game is coming out on PC. Great news for people like me who a) perfer PC gaming where possible, and/or b) are trying to abandon the 360 due to RROD/Live.
