Speaking to CVG, Remedy's Oskari Häkkinen announced that the forthcoming DLC will be available from July 28 and that it will offer gamers a "different perspective" on the main Alan Wake storyline, rather than expand upon the game's narrative. Instead, the planned DLC will bridge the gap between Alan Wake and a second Alan Wake title, which the developer has confirmed has already been penned.
"Season one [the first Alan Wake game] - just to be clear - is a full package and you'll unravel the mystery and reach all your goals," said Häkkinen.
"The game add-ons aren't telling more of the story, so to speak. It'll give you a different perspective on the things you've done on season one and then trying to set you up for the possible things you're going to do in season two [the proposed Alan Wake follow up title]."
Alan Wake is almost here, with the game scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 on 20 May. In the meantime, why not check out the live-action prequel Bright Falls.
