First Alan Wake DLC dated

360 News | See Bright Falls from a different perspective.
With Alan Wake's adventure in Bright Falls practically on our doorstep, Remedy has revealed that the first episode of downloadable content will be available from July.

Speaking to CVG, Remedy's Oskari Häkkinen announced that the forthcoming DLC will be available from July 28 and that it will offer gamers a "different perspective" on the main Alan Wake storyline, rather than expand upon the game's narrative. Instead, the planned DLC will bridge the gap between Alan Wake and a second Alan Wake title, which the developer has confirmed has already been penned.

"Season one [the first Alan Wake game] - just to be clear - is a full package and you'll unravel the mystery and reach all your goals," said Häkkinen.

"The game add-ons aren't telling more of the story, so to speak. It'll give you a different perspective on the things you've done on season one and then trying to set you up for the possible things you're going to do in season two [the proposed Alan Wake follow up title]."

Alan Wake is almost here, with the game scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 on 20 May. In the meantime, why not check out the live-action prequel Bright Falls.

Does this mean possibly playing as a different character? It seems unlikely, but that could be cool.
