Bioshock 2 Rapture Metro Pack now available

360 News | Kill'em kindly...
2K Games has announced that a whole bunch of new multiplayer DLC packs are now available for Bioshock 2. The 'Rapture Metro Pack' is the second major piece of DLC for the game, and is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points (AU$13.20) and PlayStation Network for AU$15.95. The same pack will be arriving on Games for Windows at a later date, for 800 Microsoft Points.

The Rapture Metro Pack has the following additional features:
  • Six new maps
  • Rank increase to level 50
  • Rebirth feature that will give players who have reached Rank 50 the option to rank down
to level 1 and receive a special mask
  • Three new achievements/trophies
That's not all though, as 2K Games has also released two separate BioShock 2 multiplayer expansions. The first is an all-new game mode called 'Kill’em Kindly'. This new fast-paced experience has players fighting to the death using nothing but golf clubs. This will be available as a free download for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The second, the 'Character Pack', adds two new characters to the multiplayer mode and is available on the Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points (AU$2.60) or for AU$3.45 on the PS3.

The first downloadable package, 'Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack', is currently available for download on the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft Points (AU$6.60) or for AU$8.45 on the PS3. While the last few packs have been primarily concentrating on expanding the multiplayer, we've received word that future expansions into the world of BioShock 2 will arrive over the coming months and expand upon the single player experience of Rapture. These packages will expand the narrative, and introduce new tools and challenges that extend the lore and fiction of Rapture.
