New mode for Kane & Lynch 2

360 News | Fragile Alliance goes solo.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will be hitting Australian shelves this year, and now we have the 'Arcade Mode' to look forward to. According to a new press release from Atari, Arcade Mode will be "a single player version of the innovative Fragile Alliance mode, your objective is to help the Alliance escape with as much of the loot as possible."

It would be easy to dismiss this as nothing more than a distraction for players without access to online multiplayer, but there appears to be a clear distinction between each mode. Veterans of the original Kane & Lynch will be familiar with the idea of killing team-mates in order to escape a heist with more money, however there's no mention of this in Arcade Mode. Instead, this is set to be a purely team-based affair.

Details on the actual in-game mechanics have yet to be released. Until more information is known, all we can do is pore over these newly released screenshots.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC in August.
