Bad Company 2 patch soon

360 News | PS3 version being a bad soldier.
While EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has received good reviews since its release, there have been a number of reports that the PlayStation 3 version of the game experiences some glitches when in multiplayer mode, with the game disconnecting from servers as well as issues with the EA Store.

However, EA has announced that an update is being worked on and should be ready to download soon. According to the company's blog on the game, an update is “…currently with Sony America and will, hopefully go live later today [yesterday in the US] after we get Sony approval. When this happens PlayStation 3 owners will get access to the BFBC2 in game store and have access to their VIP content. Sony Europe will follow shortly after and will, all being well with Sony, allow European players to access the store and their VIP content early this week.”

The PC version for BF BC2 is no doubt the best of the 3 platforms, unlike COD MW2 the PC is the worst of the 3.

Lucky for us PS3 owners in Oz, we wouldn't know of the issues BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE GAME YET EA!!!!!

But from scanning the forums, sounds as though EA/DICE have lots of issues to solve for all platforms :(

The thing I don't understand with these issues is that they did a MP beta test on the PS3 and PC, so why the issues now???

How about a patch to fix the MANY bugs on the PC version. Great games, but it's not finished!!!

Many bugs? Only issues (once getting into a game) I've had are with hit rego (mainly with knifes) and the occasional weird grey screen while dead or other things that aren't a big problem.

When are they going to patch the bloody PC version? It's it's pathetic. Friend requests don't work. The server browser is one of the worst ever in a world of crappy server browsers. Not to mention the fact that you can't see a servers ping, and when you're in game the ping is clearly completely wrong.

Multiplayer in this game is amazing but I'm avoiding it because it's such a hassle just to get into a game.

I know I begged for dedicated servers when playing MW2, but it never took me 30 minutes to find a game.

"Whilst EA had a major, extensive infrastructure in place to support those picking the game up at launch, peak traffic has risen to 400% higher than any previous peak amount on other Battlefield titles. Employees are continuing to work around the clock to monitor services closely, and will continually provide further updates as they become relevant."
sounds like that could be the cause of the problem.

I had troubles at first trying to get into multi games on pc but then I managed to find a list of aus servers and use it to manually set up my favourites lists. Now I'm 150% happy with bfbc2.

I don't see how, the game is pretty much the same expect with mouse and keyboard is it just because we are use to a server browser that the console versions don't have that the PC because the worse version of MW2?

Better graphics (DX11), more players, mouse and keyboard you mentioned, dedicated servers, support for Nvidia 3D, support for joysticks, voip, etc...
