Colour me impressed by the video. Visually looks pretty strong and the animation is great. Bungie seemed to have listened to their criticisms well.

Yep, the engine is looking so much better than Halo 3's. Maybe people will stop worrying that this will be another ODST, which it was never going to be.

Looks like Halo Reach might redeem the Halo franchise, Just as bungie is giving up on it.

Honestly this game looks like the halo i want to play, And it has alot more colour in it and everything

Holy crap, was one of the Spartans sprinting at one point in that? Wow, that's the one thing that always shat me off with the Halo games, not being able to sprint.

Wow, the visuals look absolutely amazing. They're so sharp and detailed this time around. They're obviously trying very hard to make incredible use of the tech provided this time around. I can't wait...

^ It's an armour booster type thing. You can hold one at a time, and they let you do different things, like sprinting. Sprinting is helpful in games, but it always seems to get me killed.

looks great .. but when the human faces show up.. brought me back to any no. of generic space games. Gotta say though the game looks impressive visually. Almost gears of war 2 visuals in a FPS. Will buy.

Well it'll be good cause its halo and the core gameplay still seems the same, just a sped up/graphically enhanced engine which I'm excited about. Sick of all my mates going "uuhh as if play halo the graphics are so bad"... even though games are about 'GAMEPLAY'!!

It looks pretty awesome. I'm curious though how they've managed to quadruple the amount of polygons used since Halo 3, increase all the particle effects and still seem to have the game running between 30-60fps. All on the same hardware. Was the 360 really that under-utilised with Halo 3?

Near the end of last year, Microsoft removed HD (minimum 720p) from it's technical certification requirements for games on 360, so maybe it's going to be some low resolution like 890x500, upscaled to 720p and running 2x FSAA or something.

If they've increased the polygon count as much as they say, still have huge open environments, keep it all running at a fast clip AND don't drop the resolution lower than Halo 3's 1152×640, I'll be impressed.

At the end of the day, it's looking like a huge improvement over Halo 3, I'm just really interested in how they've managed it (apart from the brief, glossed-over "better coding" explanation in the video).

Looking forward to the next vidoc!

Ah, kinda sounds like the perks from a few other multiplayer FPS's. Should be cool.

Anybody went on and had a look at the comments on the YouTube page? I got a laugh out of the degenerate fanboys actually comparing Halo Reach to God of War 3. I was going to reply to lot of them, but really it's just not worth it...

Interesting to see at about 2:08 the blue chick spartan has a robotic right arm.
One of the spartans (I think it was a bloke though) got their arm blown off in the book...

Looking sweeter than ever and I'm drooling for more!!
