Perfect Dark XBLA arriving in March

360 News | Perfect.
Microsoft's X10 event is proving to be a hotbed of information, with one of today's major announcements being the release date for the Xbox Live Arcade remake of Perfect Dark.

The XBLA port by 4J Studios (those behind the XBLA Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie remakes) will boast slick HD graphics alongside a reported frame rate of 60fps.

The title also boasts a number of features including online multiplayer, leaderboards and avatar rewards. Long-time fans of the series will be pleased to note that the title will resurrect the control scheme of the original title, while also giving those not versed in Perfect Dark the opportunity to use controls more suited to both Halo and Call of Duty savvy gamers.

Perfect Dark's Executive Producer, Kenn Lobb has also explained that downloadable content could also be on the cards for the title:

"That's something we've talked about, but it comes down to the audience reaction," he said. "One of the things we speced out was DLC, it would probably be new maps and it would be interesting to do a couple of new guns."

Perfect Dark will be available for 800 Microsoft Points when it is released this March. Be sure to get out the latest images of the game in action in our media panel below.

I played through the entire game for the first time last year (after owning it for 8 years...and playing my cousin's copy for 2 years prior) and it still holds up well to today's standards. For mine, the only problem was the lag. Perfect Dark was such a complete game, that the console couldn't handle it.

Absolutely loved PD on the ninty 64.
In some ways i wish they gave it a thorough overhaul but then that would lose alot of the nostalgia factor.
Definitely be picking this up for sure as PD had so much replayabilty and sheer fun, especially the challenges.
