Assassin's Creed II Downloadable Content Detailed

360 News | More assassinations, more flying and a spring jump here and there.
Ubisoft has released details today for the two new upcoming DLC items for Assassin's Creed II, that will allow players to unlock another two sequences and 16 memories.

The first of the two sequences, is titled Battle for Forli. Here, Ezio must battle the Orsi Brothers, stage a rescue, prevent the Piece of Eden falling into the hands of the Templars and once again, Ezio will enlist the services of Leonardo DaVinci and his flying machine across Romagna.

The second, titled Bonfire of the Vanities, continues the story in Florence where Ezio must assassinate a mad monk with the help of Machiavelli, in order to help free Florence from this monk's influence. Ezio will also have the chance to learn a new move simply titled the 'spring jump.'

These new sequences will be a direct continuation from where the story left off and will be available both on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live in January and February 2010, respectively. More information and pricing will be available closer to release.

Also looking forward to this. I'm also glad there's more flying, when I first heard about the flying I was expecting it to be something you had control over, like you'd be able to use it in and amongst the free running if necessary (I guess like the gliders from Far Cry 2) so I was a little disappointed to find out it was just one very small segment of the game.

The spring jump sounds interesting. To me it's either taking a page from marios book and using multiple jumps to boost height or maybe bouncing across canopies?

Will be heaps of fun nonetheless.

sounds crap.

climb rooftop, run up to archer guard and stab him before he can attack. move across rooftops, look for target, jump down and stab. end of dlc.

Maybe they will combine them together and add them onto the full release of the PC version. icon_biggrin.gif That happens sometimes right? icon_lol.gif

Any additional Creed is welcome IMO, and it doesn't sound like it's going to be overpriced like a lot of DLC. Apparently the Battle of Forli is priced at US$3.99 (which is probably about 340MSP) while Bonfire of the Vanities will be US$4.99 which is 400MSP).

I think I'll pass on this. More flying is tempting, but for some reason this doesn't interest me too much. Maybe because I like playing the game to progress the 2012 story, and this will have nothing to do with Desmond. But if it's as cheap as rumored, I may as well pick it up to try it out. :S

Cool, so I might be able to get the trophy for kicking someone while flying without having to restart the entire game again? icon_razz.gif

You know you can just replay the memory that involves the flying? You don't have to start at the beginning.
