Xbox Live Deal of the Week - 23/11/09

360 News | Extreme Fever time as Microsoft unleash a trio of specials.
It's Monday (or early Tuesday morning for Australians) again, which means a new Deal of the Week has started on the Xbox Live Marketplace. This week, Microsoft has discounted not one, not two, but three Marketplace goodies. These include the Arcade games Peggle and Death Tank, as well as the Fable II Game Add-On See the Future.

Coming in at 102 MB, Peggle is an addictive little puzzle game that challenges players to clear all the orange pegs in each stage. To achieve this you’ll need to utilise magic powers, time and aim your shots so that you don’t waste balls, and above all else, attain the rank of Peggle Master. Peggle will set you back 400 Microsoft Points (approx. AUD $6.60), a saving of 50%.

Peggle.

Death Tank is best described as a simpler, more ‘realistic’ version of Worms, though instead of commanding a team of those wiggly critters you take control of a single tank. Battles take place in real-time as you find yourself dodging enemy fire while giving opponents a taste of their own medicine. There are a ton of power-ups, landscapes to play on, and online multiplayer. The game has a download size of 54 MB and has been discounted to 800 Microsoft Points (approx. AUD $13.20), a saving of 33.33%.

See the Future is the second DLC pack to be released for Fable II and will take up 484 MB of your precious bandwidth. In the DLC, the trader Murgo has returned to Bowerstone with exotic new items that will transport players to new worlds. There you will discover new dog breeds, costumes, a new battle arena and quests, plus you’ll get a glimpse at what the future holds for Albion. The DLC will set you back 400 Microsoft Points (approx. AUD $6.60), a saving of 29%.

Please remember that all Deal of the Week specials are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold subscription holders.

I was tempted to grab peggle over the weekend, so glad i didn't. Also grabbed the fable 2 pack so can finally find myself playing the game again. IMO Death Tank is still way to pricey...

Yeah, when I read about Peggle Nights, I really wanted to get Peggle but then... I kinda forgot to (had it on PC already) but then now because of this, I think it's time to get Peggle me reckons. Sigh, spent sooo much this week already (I do my christmas shopping super early!).

Fable 2 DLC is also tempting...

Got the fable II DLC. Well worth 400 points, but I'm glad that's all I paid for it.
