New DLC packs for Forza 3

New content is out for Forza 3, with developers Turn 10 offering two content packs for car enthusiasts, which unsurprisingly, add new cars.

The first is available right now and is free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. It consists of three additions to the roster including the Rhys Millen Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the HKS Genesis Coupe, and a ‘Forza’ remake of the Genesis Coupe.

The second content addition, the Hot Holidays Car Pack, will be released a little later on December 8, and will be priced at 400 Microsoft Points. While much of the content is still to be revealed, the pack will include several new race cars such as the Ferrari 458 Italia.

As an added bonus for when the Holiday Pack hits the marketplace, Turn 10 will be giving out another free car download, the 2010 Audi S4, as a gift. We assume this will also only be for those with Gold Live memberships.

Too bad they haven't fixed a bunch of problems we've been trying to get them to fix since it came out, like the broken **** views for most of the racing cars... sigh.

I'm not sure what to make of this, I feel so penny and dimed out. Maybe if they added some new tracks it would be more palatable.

^They said they arent keen on doing new tracks. Takes them 3 months to build 1 track and its not worth it $$ wise. Plus the way the game is setup, they wouldnt integrate it into the career, so its multiplayer and arcade mode only.

I'll buy the Italia pack. I LOVE that car.

Do'h, they actually said that? I guess its easier to remodel/skin a car than it is to put in the effort for a new track. At least we know what their priorities are; to make money and not to expand the game in a meaningful way.

Dan Greenwalt said that on a Major Nelson podcast.

He didn't completely rule it out, but he didn't sound too keen on making new tracks.

As for their priorities, yeah it sucks, but i guess you cant blame a business for not wanting to spend 3 months on something they won't get a decent return on.
